Our QT Py boards are a great way to make very small microcontroller projects that pack a ton of power – and now we have a way for you to quickly add a glittering grid of 25 RGB addressable micro NeoPixels. It’s an excellent way to make tiny wearable, cosplay, or IoT projects with dazzling LEDs.
We’ve been looking for a display like this for a long time – it’s only 1.5″ diagonal but has a high density 220 ppi, 240×240 pixel display with full-angle viewing. It looks a lot like our 1.44″ 128×128 display, but has 4x as many pixels and looks great at any angle. We’ve seen displays of this caliber used in smartwatches and small electronic devices but they’ve always been MIPI interface. Finally, we found one that is SPI and has a friendly display driver, so it works with any and all microcontrollers or microcomputers!
We call this the Adafruit NeoPixel Driver BFF – a “Best Friend Forever”. When you were a kid you may have learned about the “buddy” system, well this product is kinda like that! A board that will watch your QT Py’s back and give it the power and support to drive NeoPixel strips, rings, and panels.

I remember when I was sixteen and started pumping my own gas I was very skeptical of the pumps ability to shut itself off. I haven’t thought much about it since.
The more you know! It alls comes down to the Venturi sensor, a fluid mechanical system. Interesting vid from Steve Mould:
Gas or petrol pump nozzles turn off automatically when your tank is full. The way it works is really clever and uses the venturi effect.

Elon Musk may spell the end for Twitter and some users are freaking out. But here's why you shouldn't mourn the social media hellscape we've grown to tolerate.
