Time Circuits Timepiece

It’s surprising how hard it can be to find a simple desk clock. This project from Stephen Holdaway on Hackaday.io hits a lot of sweet spots: it is easy to read and gives full time/date, its simple and aesthetically appealing (if your are into the vintage hacker vibe) and best of all it looks like it came straight off the set of “Back to the Future!”

A practical-size, Back to the Future themed digital clock mimicking the “Present Time” portion of the DeLorean’s time circuit displays.

This time of year, I find myself ploughing through butter at a rather alarming rate. It’s just in every holiday recipe! What can I do? Make a worse version of something delicious using less butter? I’ve just learned to give in. Let’s face it, butter is beautiful. No one takes this concept more seriously than Bordier Butter, located in northern France. From sourcing, to staffing principles, to recipes, to packaging, Bordier Butter has put a lot of thought into every single angle of production. Hacking my garage door with the Raspberry Pi Pico W #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi

If you are having trouble getting a Raspberry Pi there are still a ton of great projects you can do with the pico.

In this video Jeff Geerling uses a Raspberry Pi Pico W as a garage door alert with his home system. He didn’t write any code and the set up is all internal without subscriptions, cloud accounts or the like.

Now my wife doesn’t get angry at me for leaving the garage door open all day!
