Due to supply changes outside of our control, Adafruit is discontinuing the sale and support of Teensy products.
We were informed by postal mail from SparkFun (the exclusive provider now) that Teensy products will no longer be available to Adafruit. We contacted Paul Stoffregen to confirm, and were told the decision is final.
Existing inventory will be sold through while supplies last. Once inventory is exhausted, no additional units will be restocked. We have put the remaining stock on sale.
This decision is based solely on supply availability. Teensy sold at a steady pace for us, and we were glad to support the Paul, and the platform for many years, help place it into reseller channels, and assist when issues came up.
We will update our catalog and documentation accordingly.
What’s next: After a brief moment of disappointment, we moved forward. We are now working on an open-source, Teensy-compatible board. The latest details on features, plans, and status are posted in the PJRC forums.
We already have a prototype currently out for testing under the working name “Freensy,” and we will share more during our shows.
