Coopering a 36-Gallon Wooden Barrel by Hand

Ever since posting about bucket coopering from Pask Makes, I’ve been fascinated by watching the practice.

I love how, in this video, you see how a cooper uses the shavings from cutting the staves to heat-treat the inside of the barrel.
