The replicant Roy Batty’s iconic leather trench coat from Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece, Blade Runner, has been missing since the film wrapped in 1982.
It seemed too good to be true when someone contacted the UK’s Propstore and claimed that they had it. It turned out to be legit. The coat was apparently part of a charity auction soon after filming and the coat had been lost to history from there. After the owner of it passed away, the coat was acquired by the Propstore.
In this Tested video, Adam Savage gets a chance to see the coat, learn more about it, and discuss the import and story telling that garments like this add to a production.
