Comparing Three Levels of Finishing a 3D Printed Faux Metal Prop

In this I Like to Make Stuff video, Bob prints 3 copies of a thermal detonator sci-fi prop from Thingiverse.

He wanted to know how three different finishing methods would serve the prop. He printed one in metal filament and left as-is, one he sanded, primed, and spray painted with metallic rattle can paint, and one he sanded, primed, and airbrush painted using much more expensive primer and paint.

In the end, all three have their purpose, depending on how close the prop might be interacted with. Not surprisingly, the one with the expensive paint and airbrushing looked the best.
