We’ve released support for an additional I2C sensor – the MCP9808 high-accuracy temperature sensor to Adafruit IO WipperSnapper, the no-code IoT interface for Adafruit IO. You can now pull data from this sensor straight into Adafruit IO, in less than a minute! It’s live now and requires the latest version of Adafruit IO WipperSnapper to be installed on your WipperSnapper-capable development board.
Also, we’re writing a guide on “How to Add a New Component to Adafruit IO WipperSnapper” which should be out very soon and cover the process of adding your favorite input, output, or sensor to Adafruit IO WipperSnapper.
Additionally, the Adafruit IO team is upgrading the web-based WipperSnapper firmware uploader to handle installing firmware binaries for multiple types of ESP32/ESP8266 boards, such as our brand new Adafruit ESP32 Feather V2 and additional boards in the future. This functionality is not yet ready for prime-time and is coming soon (we’ll blog when it’s ready)!
