A personalized 3D avatar offers visual depictions of technique based on the movement data collected. And while you may be hoping to preserve your most impressive sends, the app will also allow you to specifically identify where and why you crashed. “I envision a lot of people posting their videos on social media because it looks hilarious,” Miller chuckles. “Your little guy is like, ‘Aah, aah!’ and then you get up and start going again.”
SKEO runs on GPS data, and it will show skiers their exact run, allowing them to click on different dots and view each individual turn.
If skiers opt into the hardware upgrade, the wearable sensor records runs on a mountain simulator to provide feedback on edge angle and body positioning, both in data form and in the 3D avatar videos.
