Laura Kampf recently created an Instagram account for her dog, Smudo. To try and create a fun gimmick that would boost Smudo’s followers, she created a machine that would dispense a little treat whenever he got a new follower. As you might imagine, lots of people started following Smudo and he was hitting the doggie biscuit jackpot.
Laura had to figure out a way of solving this too-much-of-a-good-thing problem without getting in the way of all the Smudo love. She ended up creating a device that counts the number of followers he’s getting and then, when the count gets to a certain amount, Laura buys that many dog biscuits and donates them to a local animal shelter. And, of course, Smudo gets one, too.
