I am working on a piece for the next issue of HackSpace on all of the different ways you can use magnets around the shop. I came upon this video about using a car battery and a coil of wire to quickly, temporarily magnetize screw and other drivers.
You can also temporarily magnetize a driver by simply placing a magnet on the shaft of the tool.
