In 6th grade, my science, math and social studies classes teamed up to spend a month covering the Brooklyn Bridge. We read books, watched documentaries and did our very best to recreate the bridge with tooth picks. At the end of the month we celebrated the closure of the unit by visiting…you guessed it… Roebling’s Delaware Aqueduct. Later that summer, after realizing my deep disappointment at not going to the Brooklyn Bridge, my family made the trip to the city so I could finally get my eyes on one of the most recognizable architectural marvels of NYC. Needless to say, 6th grade me was deeeelighted to come across Architectural Digest’s video covering the Brooklyn Bridge on YouTube
