EV Charger Cable Holder #3Dprinting #3DThursday

Notification Center

LudwigVanHarrigan shared this project on Thingiverse!

Ever get tired of having to drape your electric vehicle charging cable over random objects when you unplug your car?
I did too. Here’s a less random object that will elegantly hold your EV charging cable when not in use. It is a dummy receptacle that you screw into the wall, and will hold any charging cable with a J1772 plug (pretty much every EV and plug-in hybrid except Tesla).
It attaches to your wall with three #8 or #10 wood screws on a 75mm bolt circle.

This piece prints without supports, preferably with three or more perimeters and higher temperatures for good layer adhesion. Any material should do, within reason.

Enjoy, and happy printing.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
