Nicola Woodham’s Soft Map is a Textile Instrument #MusicMonday

Super cool project from Nicola Woodham on vimeo. We can only imagine the choreography potentials a larger version of this project would bring!

Capacitive conductive fabric shapes sewn onto cloth are touched to trigger sound samples. Here she has used a Trill Craft breakout board with a Bela Mini and added her music samples to the Trill Craft Sampler pure data patch. There are just three capacitive sensors attached to the Trill Craft, these respond to being touched with her feet here.
