Clyburn: Having an African-American woman running mate ‘a plus for Joe Biden but not a must’

House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) tells NBC’s Steve Kornacki he “would be very proud to see an African-American woman on the ticket,” but that he doesn’t see it as essential. Clyburn also says his own shortlist for VP “has got 12 people on it.
