Anyone who’s spent any time in a hobby store (or a well-stocked hardware store) has likely seen the K&S Precision Metals display, full of aluminum, brass, copper steel rod, tube, bar, and sheet stock. As a young hobbyist, I always used to drool over the K&S display in my local hobby shop — that and the display for Evergreen plastic stock.
Like a lot of materials supply companies, K&S has recognized the buying power of the maker community and is creating a bigger presence on social media to reach that audience.
One of these efforts is their new K&S Creator’s Collective channel on YouTube where they are going to be profiling inspiring members of the maker community. Here is their introductory video and first episode, featuring Jimmy DiResta. I’m looking forward to seeing what other makers they profile.
