NEW PRODUCTS THIS WEEK
Alpha Single-Gang 16mm Right-angle PC Mount – 5K Linear: This Alpha 5K Linear potentiometer is a two-in-one, good in a breadboard or with a panel. It’s a fairly standard linear taper 5K ohm potentiometer, with a grippy shaft. It’s smooth and easy to turn, but not so loose that it will shift on its own. We like this one because the legs are 0.2″ apart with pin-points, so you can plug it into a breadboard or perfboard. Once you’re done prototyping, you can drill a hole into your project box and mount the potentiometer that way.
USB-A Plug to USB-C Plug Adapter: If your computer has a USB A port still, and you want a small, cable-less way to connect our modern USB C devices, this little dongle will do the job nicely. It’s quite simple – you’ve got your USB A plug on one side, a C plug on the other. Since C is reversible, you can always plug in your board upright.
Meditation Chanting Prayer Speaker Box: Here at the Adafruit factory, we’re used to working within the confines of electrical resistance, and we never tire of a good “ΩMG!” or “Ω sweet Ω” play on words. Sometimes after a productive day of prototyping, testing, prepping, and shipping, we find ourselves in need of a healthy mental check-in and reset. Where are we going with this? Just wait!
Adafruit CP2102N Friend – USB to Serial Converter: Long gone are the days of parallel ports and serial ports. Now the USB port reigns supreme! But USB is hard, and you just want to transfer your every-day serial data from a microcontroller to computer. What now? Enter the Adafruit CP2102N Friend!
Adafruit MCP23017 I2C GPIO Expander Breakout – STEMMA QT / Qwiic: We’ve gotten a lot of requests for a MCP23017 breakout and we’ve always sorta been like “ehh why not just use the DIP chip?” but with STEMMA QT we could see the use case for a plug and play version that comes with all the passives on board. This Adafruit MCP23017 I2C GPIO Expander Breakout has 16 GPIO with matching ground pad.
Adafruit ESP32-S2 TFT Feather – 4MB Flash, 2MB PSRAM, STEMMA QT: We’ve got a new machine here at Adafruit, it can uncover your deepest desires. Don’t believe me? I’ll turn it on right now to prove it to you! What, you want unlimited mozzarella sticks? OK well, that’s not something we can provide. But we can provide your second-deepest desire: an ESP32-S2 Feather board with a built in IPS TFT color display. It’s got all the gooeyness of a mozzarella stick features of a Feather main board, the comforting warmth of an ESP32-S2 WiFi microcontroller, and the crispness of a 240×135 pixel color TFT display. All that and it will even plug in nicely into a breadboard, terminal block wing, or Feather Doubler or even just stack on top of another wing.
