University of Zurich Navigation Algorithm Enables Deep Drone Acrobatics #drone #droneday

Back in June 2020 the University of Zurich published news of a new navigation algorithm. After watching UZH Robotics and Perception Group’s Deep Drone Acrobatics (RSS 2020) on YouTube we thought it was absolutely worth a reshare!

A navigation algorithm developed at the University of Zurich enables drones to learn challenging acrobatic maneuvers. Autonomous quadcopters can be trained using simulations to increase their speed, agility and efficiency, which benefits conventional search and rescue operations.
