As we enjoy summer fruit, farmworkers brace for another brutal heat wave

U.S. farmworkers have been hard at work harvesting summer fruit - blueberries, strawberries, watermelon – in record-setting temperatures that have soared above 100 degrees. Activist Dolores Huerta says, “Employers have to take responsibility, tell their foremen once the temperature gets too high, get the people out of the field,” to prevent people from dying.
