Just because summer’s coming doesn’t mean kids are going to forget about books. In fact, give them more books. What’s better then getting outside, going on a hike, and then in the middle of that hike, pulling out a thermos of lemonade, pulling a book out of your rucksack, and getting your read on. And if you’re at a loss for science books for kids, here’s a list from Science Focus that includes fun stuff like this book from National Geographic:

The book covers everything from bee stings to blood spatter at crime scenes – so it’s probably one for teens rather than tots – and never skimps on the juicy, biological or anatomical details. Often illuminating unreported areas of science, there’s plenty for parents here, too.
