Third time’s the charm? The SpaceX Starship SN10 prototype was successful today in taking off, flying to a 10-mile altitude, and successfully executing a soft and successful landing back on the pad in Boca Chica, TX.
Almost, anyway. The SN10 was listing after the landing, with fire down below. As the SpaceX team began its recovery operations, the ship succumbed to its injuries and exploded into a serious fireball.
Oof. SN10 has decided to join SN8 and SN9.
Still a great advancement with the landing.
