Great beginner level project from Team Grandeur up on Hackster.io.

After Pi Switch, here comes Pi Dimmer, a level up the IoT Control ladder. We are going to build an LED dimmer with Raspberry Pi and Grandeur. The Raspberry Pi will control the led based on the data we send from our web app. We will use the Grandeur platform to help us communicate data between our app and our RPi over internet.

This project from Michele Seffino on vimeo is giving us so many calming vibes:

The main purpose of this work is to stimulate a reflection on the acoustic dimension that characterizes the spaces we live in and in which we are inserted daily, with the aim to raise awareness of the importance of the sound element within the natural and artificial landscape and of the impacts that noise pollution has on human activities and animal life.

OK, so when we said our Feather ESP32-S2 from this morning was our final design of the year, we underestimated how much a nice walk would inspire another spin. This time we smooshed a 1.14″ 240×135 color TFT here and here on the front and flipped all the components onto the back to make a Feather ESP32-S2 ‘micro portal’. It’ll be a more complex build due to being double sided but there’s really no other way to fit everything. On the top we kept the two reset+boot buttons, indicator LEDs, and the NeoPixel got a shrink down to a 2020 (!) package. We kept the vertical STEMMA QT connector and nestled it along the battery port, so the cables wont drape over the screen. i2c battery monitor and temp/humidity/pressure sensor stays on the bottom.

Nano Leaf Small by Lugerh Thingiverse

Lugerh shared this project on Thingiverse!

This is a simple redesign of the typical Nanoleaf based on a led strip and an esp8266 / esp32

I have not yet designed any case to the control board and a power supply, ma ahead will design some.

I used RGB LED strips (WS2812) 60 LEDs per meter (IP30 uncoated, 10mm wide)

Control of it depends on you, you can use a ESP8266 a ESP32, a generic driver … be creative!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

Dyson V6 Drill Dust Vacuum Bohrstaub Sauger by Trierscheid Thingiverse

Trierscheid shared this project on Thingiverse!

Just designed my own Dyson V6 drill dust vacuum nozzle.I know there is a lot in the community, but every model looks a bit different. YOU should try to figure out which fits best to you.

The photographs show a two-color built. The reason for that is that I ran my light blue empty, then continued with white. It is a functional part, and not a beauty competition!

This front vented modular fan insert was designed to create more clearance between the processor and the fan for anyone using heatsinks. This design allows for about 1/2 inch of space between the board and the bottom of the fan.
