Monitoring a board’s power consumption over the internet with @adafruitio #IoTuesdays

Groguard is using two Feather-compatible Giant boards to send power consumption data to Adafruit IO for real-time visualization (and possibly long-term logging). Instead of using a multimeter, he’s using a INA219 DC current sensor to monitor current draw over I2C.

From Twitter:

I’ve been trying to work on the low power modes as well as getting a general sense of what specific FeatherWings draw. I’m also going to be doing some battery testing soon as well.

Adafruit.IO is perfect for logging power consumption of any internet-connected device – from boards to connected projects.
