How to Program a Roland TB-303 #MusicMonday

Here’s a tutorial on programing the Roland TB-303 from David Haberfeld via SYNTHOPIA

Nothing sounds quite like an 808, but nothing sounds quite like a 303 either. Roland TB-303 created the sound that became the foundation for acid house, which became the one of the pillars for electronic music in the 90s, which turned into a thing called EDM. But don’t blame the 303 for that.

The Roland 303 makes up the bulk of cuts like Josh Wink’s Higher States of Consciousness, a track from the olds that can still set a dancefloor on metaphorical fire.

Lest you think we at Adafruit don’t know our sequencer from our pot knob, recall that Ladyada’s legendary x0xb0x is a full reproduction of the original Roland 303 that can be programmed just like the original.
